マレーシアは「アフタヌーンティーが日本より安く食べられる」というのはご存じですか？
日本にいる間はアフタヌーンティーと縁が無かった人も元々好きな方もそう言われると行かない訳にはいきませんよね。
さて行こう！と思った時に困るのが時間帯です。
今回はとてもニッチですが「平日12時スタート」のアフタヌーンティーに特化してご紹介します。
マレーシアのアフタヌーンティーは安い！
誰もが名前を知る有名高級ホテル「リッツカールトン」の東京とクアラルンプールで比較してみました。
その差は歴然です。

平日12時スタートこそが一番求められている
日本ではランチタイムからアフタヌーンティーをやっているところを探すのは簡単ですが、マレーシアのホテルのアフタヌーンティーは基本14時あるいは15時以降スタートです。
ここで困るのがまずは「ママ」。
子どものお迎えの時間やスクールバスの時間が大体14時-16時の間が多いので行けません。
12時スタートであればそこから1時間半～2時間の滞在ののち帰路につけば大概間に合います。
またママ以外にもマレーシアの全ての人に当てはまる点の１つ目が「渋滞回避」。
マレーシアは夕方の渋滞が酷くまたそこに追い打ちをかけるように雨に降られることも多いので、夕方に差し掛かる前に家に帰ってきておきたい、という人もいるのではないでしょうか。
12時スタートであれば避けられます。
2つ目は「お昼ご飯代わりにできる」
仮に上記の要素に全て当てはまらない方がいたとして14時あるいは15時アフタヌーンティーってすっごく微妙な時間帯…
アフタヌーンティーの一つ一つは小さく食べやすいですが、あのスタンドの１人前を食べると結構お腹がいっぱいになります。
しかもセイボリー（お口直しにもなる塩気のある食べ物のこと）も沢山ついてくるホテルもあるので、ランチタイムに食べても夕飯を控えめにしたいぐらいのボリュームであったりします。
14時15時スタートだと、お昼ご飯抜きは辛いから事前に食べるとアフタヌーンティーが入らないし、そこをクリアしたとして晩御飯は絶対入らない…と胃との相談が難しくなるのでやはり昼ご飯としてめいっぱいアフタヌーンティーの楽しむのがベストだと個人的には思います。
ちーたろうこれに関しては平日休日関係なく言えることですね！
